Selling on behalf my uncle is his rare Fender Stratocaster Plus with ‘Surf Green’ finished.
It is made in US with serial # E 466372 (1984-88, Corona plant, California, US)
My uncle, a singer/guitarist now 61, had been playing music locally for the last 40 years.
Bought this baby about 23 years ago but spend most of the time in the store room as he seldom use electric guitar.
He is more into Latin music, and use folklore Latin guitar, so this baby got to go for now i guess..
However, based on the serial numbers above & specs below, I strongly believed that the fender should be from the
year of 1987/88.
(Specs)
- Alder Body
- Medium Jumbo Frets
- Rosewood fingerboard,
- Maple Neck
- Hipshot Tremsetter
- "Tilt adjusts" neck with access thru the neck plate.
- Gold lace sensor pickups.
- Wilkinson needle-bearing roller nut,
- Sperzel locking machine heads.
Issues:
There are several dings as shown on the pics below. There is also a fine hairline
crack near the neck area but it doesn’t affect the great sounding of the guitar at all.
There are also oxidation at the screws & fret life roughly around 60-70%
Keep in mind that this is over 20years old guitar, so don’t expect to be near mint.
Also included is the original whammy bar and deluxe fender case.
