Very rare and beautiful antique clock on German build. This mantel clock sits on a console table, shelf, or simply on a side table in a league of its own. Built with walnut wood inlaid, its esthetic finial carvings are gorgeously laid out it doesn't need brass or other metals to distract its TIMELESS look. Fits into contemporary or antique environments with ease, which is not what we can say about every old clock that comes our way.

The clock plays the famous and exquisite London Westminster chime similar to that of huge grandfather clocks, right at your desk or room pedestal, minus the size. That's really rare for an old mantel clock (most of them just ding-dong), esp an antique selection. It strikes at quarter, half and full hours with 5 full hammers on 5 perfect sounding tubular reeds. This chime alone is reason enough to buy this clock, to enjoy the pure mechanical and horological joy of listening to the real tubular sounds, for once it isn't generated by many of the cheap electronic contraptions we have today.
