Art and manga classes for children and teens in Mandarin - Singapore

KK Art & Comics House teaches Primary School and Secondary School children in Singapore art courses in Mandarin and simple english, with a focus on drawing, painting, manga and digital art.

The teacher is a parent herself and knows what’s best for your children. Being a mother of two, she treats every child as her own.

Speaking in Mandarin is an important skill. In her courses, she’ll offer your children the opportunity to use the language and hone their mandarin comprehension and speaking skills.

Course 1: Drawing and Coloring

She teaches fundamental drawing techniques, and will guide your child on how to draw cartoon people, animals, scenery, manga-style. At the same time, she will inspire them to unleash their creativity and imagination to come up with fantastic characters unique to them.

After learning how to draw correctly, she will guide them on using water color, color pencils, and crayons to bring their characters to life. She will teach them the basics about color combinations, and how to use colors to their best effect.

Course 2: Manga

Kids are into manga. Why not combine their love for manga with their love for art? Here, She will teach them how to create manga characters and bring them to life. She will also guide them about fundamental techniques on drawing and proportioning compelling characters, as well as the art of creating stories.

By the end of the course, she will provide every student a digital copy of their artwork to take with them.

Four lessons (once a week) will cost S$120/S$130/S$140 at the Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced levels. Each course has three levels, and how long they last depends on the child’s ability.

In advanced classes, she will teach your kids digital art, where they will learn how to use Photoshop to enhance and touch up their work, how to draw using a digital sketch pad, and more.
