Job description This role is performed by technical professionals who specialize in providing perform services to clients on hardware and software components for Windows servers. Activities include operation and maintenance of Windows operating systems , storage and backup solutions, antivirus servers. These servers are installed with middleware applications, various database technologies, high availability solutions and load balancing. Job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:Operation and maintenance of operating systems and platform support, database administration, capacity planning, performance management, security compliance. Support is also provided for systems management tools which monitor the operational status of the environment. Primary Responsibilities:· Technical team leader to a team of junior Windows administrators. Candidate and the team to be based at IBM Strategic Outsourcing clients’ location to perform the following tasks:· System installation, configurations and testing for Windows Server OS ranging from NT, Win2K & Win2003· Systems upgrading and patching ;· Security hardening and patching according to IBM or client’s security policies;· Systems administration, maintenance, backup/restore, performance tuning ;· Creation and maintenance of technical documentation ;· Handle 3rd level escalation from Helpdesk ;· Coordinate with external parties and customers for problem resolution ;· Ensure stated SLA/SLO are met; Secondary Responsibilities· Solution for new Windows services ;· Handle customer relationships ;· Identify, propose & execute improvement initiatives · Provide technical inputs to business proposals Required· Bachelor's Degree · At least 3 years experience in Team Leader role (leading a team of at least 5 engineers) · At least 5 years experience in setup, support and troubleshoot of Windows Server OS ranging from NT, Win2K and Win2003 · At least 3 years experience in hands-on implementation and troubleshooting in MS Active Directory, MS Clustering, VMWare and Citrix · Basic knowledge in OS related topics eg. DHCP, DNS, Proxy etc · At least 1 year experience in various backup software i.e. Arcserve, Netbackup, Backupexec and TSM · English: Fluent Additional information· Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision;· Must be able to perform well under stressful situations;· Full of initiatives and energy;· Excellent in communication skills (both verbal and written);· Tactful, pleasant personality, a team player.· Experienced in a vendor environment with front end interaction with customers ;· Strong team management skills ;

· Experienced in IBM Blade Server and IBM Director software
