Let yourself be treated to impeccable live Indian Classical Dance, Balinese Dance and Carnatic Vocal performances by renowned veterans, Priyalatha Arun and Bhagya Murthy, and the immensely-enticing Mita Lestari, at the opening preview of the significant art exhibition, The Asian Prom: Dances of Asia in Visual Art at The Gallery of Gnani Arts (located at #01-17, Tanglin Shopping Centre). Curated by Vidhya Gnana Gouresan, the extraordinary collection of paintings features certain captivating dance forms of Asia by six meticulously-selected, accomplished artists who hail from France, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India. To capture the feel of unpredictable movement, the intensity of emotion or the culture-specific principle of a dance form on canvas, is magical indeed. It will be prudent not to miss the opening preview of The Asian Prom, where art will become truly interdisciplinary with three hours of dance, music and painting.
