Volunteering in INDIA - Singapore - volunteers needed 2009

For people who wish to volunteer in India but don't want to pay the extortionate fees charged by some organizations. We offer many different projects but the main focus of the work at the moment is 2 week work camps around India that allow volunteers to see the real India while helping its poorest and most needy people

FACE India is a grassroots organization that’s aim is to bring people from different cultures together.

PROJECT- Faridabad Charity Hospital

Feb.4 -Feb.18 2009

The volunteer will be working in a busy charity funded hospital based in a rural area. The volunteer will be expected to help with all aspects of the hospital to ensure its smooth running and the health of its patients. Because the hospital is charity funded it suffers from shortages of basic materials so be prepared to experience health care at its most needed

Activities include:

Basic Nursing

Basic treatments

Helping doctors

Counseling

Ensuring patients are happy

Organizing activities

the main requirements from volunteers are just that they have a passion for helping people

the 2 week work costs Rs 9500 (approx $180) and includes all accommodation and food
